Civil in iiiest shibpur is going to be a better choice as iiest has its own brand value while other institutes you have mentioned are nits but they are somewhat lower nits and do not have the same status that the other older nits carry on the other hand iiest shibpur s quite old and attracts brilliant minds from all over india also civil is not a very bad branch as people often think it to be so there no problem taking that also option of branch change is always there at your disposal
Hey dear
Hope you are doing well.
To change your Branch the cutoffs differ from college to college. You must check the previous year cutoffs of your college in order to get some concrete idea about it. But to be eligible to change your Branch you must score a minimum of 8.5 cgpa in any college.
Hope this helps.
All the best
Hey Ranjan
The answer to this depends on your interests. For most part ECE and EIE subjects, both cross paths at different periods of your graduation, but key difference is the core part where basically everything changes.
Study point of view :
ECE :
Core parts deals with Communication (Satellites/Telecom/Analog/Digital etc)
EIE :
Deals with more of Instumentation (Sensor Design/Metrics etc)
Job Perspective :
ECE and EIE are both great if you are preparing for R & D work and want to take on with Masters on specific parts of the core subjects. Companies like Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Intel, Bosch do hire a decent amount of graduates and post graduates from both branches of Electronics. If you are planning for a Software Job, don’t plan of doing both. Go with CS or IT.
GOOD LUCK
It depends whether you want to go to nit agartala or not as if that is not a problem I would advice you to go with nit agartala as first of all it is an nit second it has more exposure and people are coming there from all other parts of the country so definitely that is also an advantage no doubt mmmut is a good college but nit's are better so go with them and also ece and related branches are not too much disconnected with cse so that will not create any problem
Hello candidate
10% of total seats are reserved for Jee mains candidates in MMMUT. If you belong from Uttar Pradesh then cutoff is a little high (94–96 percentile) but if you belong any state other than Uttar Pradesh then 85 percentile would be sufficient to fetch you a seat in MMMUT. If you want to secure your preferred branch then you have to aim for at least 90 percentile for the Other States and 96 percentile for Home State. (These stats will definitely fetch you a seat).MMMUT GORAKHPUR ranked in the top 5 colleges in UP. The infrastructure of this college is very good for civil engineering and here is a good placement. Here you can take admission through jee main and MET exams. If you want to take admission through jee main then: CSE 96%ile IT 95.7%ile ECE.
Feel free to ask your queries here.
Hello aspirant,
First of all, to become an engineer, you have to sit for JEE examination, which is the national level engineering examination.
After passing the examination, your rank will be considered as the eligible criteria for getting admission in an engineering college, and in the college you have to apply for electrical engineering.
Dear applicant, yes it is indeed a good decision to select HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, this college has extremely experienced faculties, well equipped labs, necessary facilities, now if you focus on placements, MNCs like Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, Infosys etc. do visit the campus and offer placements with starting package of 7-9 LPA. For core branches placement follow the same trends. So it is a wise choice and make sure you use your opportunities offered by the professors. With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that, I think, you won't be able to do PG diploma in Electrical Engineering as of now since you have not been graduated from any Electrical Engineering degree. Since you have done Btech in Mechanical Engineering so, I think that you have chances to do PG diploma in Mechanical Engineering and not PG Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Yes you are eligible for Indian Foreign Services examination, this is because the most basic eligibility criteria is to complete your graduation in any of the specialisations from a recognised University. As you have done Bachelor of Technology in your graduation then you are eligible for Indian Foreign Services examination.
There is a age criteria as well for Indian Foreign Services. The minimum age in which you can apply is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years. There is also a relaxation for reserved categories of 5 years.
