As you are not from the Non- CS background the first problem you will face is regarding the study procedure of CS. CS contains mainly Discrete Mathematics & as you don't have much exposure about that it can be a problem for you. But this problem can easily be resolved as Discrete Mathematics is mostly logical & if you have good logical sense, it would just be a candy for you. The second problem might be the coding exposure. If you have no coding background, then going into the course can feel intermediating but again, if you are sincere about the studies, then this will not be much of a problem. So if you are going for MCA, you should be ready to do some hardwork & believe me it would take you 1 semester to get accustomed with the terminologies & skill sets. So don't get very tensed, if you are interested just pursue it.

Hi Manne, after you've completed your BSc in food technology, you are having two ways to go ahead.
1. You can apply for the jobs like that of product or a quality specialist, food technologist, packaging trainee and managers of course, or it could be related to the research scientist, chefs, brewers and so on.
2. The second way to go ahead is pursuing higher studies indeed in the same or related field. Since your question prefers to take you this way, you could pursue a MSc degree in Food Technology.
There is a wide scope in food technology and industry for the research based and quality assurance specialist too in the future.
Indian Institute of Food Technology, Tamil Nadu;
Banaras University, Varanasi;
University of Delhi, Delhi;
Anna University, Chennai
Amity University, Noida are some of the universities where you could pursue your higher studies in food technology.
Hope this helps.
All the best for your future endeavours!!
Hi Manne, there are mostly many colleges taking in the students for BSc in food technology as per a merit basis or through entrance exams as well.
Central Food Technology Research Institute Exam - CFTRI,
Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology Exam - IIFPT,
Above are the two main exams that are organised by the respective colleges, and paving away for you to get into graduation courses for food technology. These exams are much similar and equivalent to the JEE Mains and Advanced.
The syllabus for these entrance exams is mostly related to the mutual subjects that you have gone through in 11th and 12th, i.e. Physics , Chemistry and Maths.
