The difference between these two degrees is that bsc is a plain degree in terms of education. In Bsc you will learn more about theory though you will deal with practicals but it will not be enough and Bsc is a 3 year course while Btech is a 4
There are many govt. jobs after bsc food technology. If i talk about your respective branch than you can apply for food inspector like posts.
And in general you can apply for all govt. jobs who are just asking for a bachelor degree like ssc cgl and all.

That is they both are academic degrees given to undergraduate students. Main difference between the two academic degrees Bsc (Hons) is much more specialized as compared to the Bsc general degree,
