Government Job
Hey aspirant,
This depends on your preferences and how you would want to live your life. Both the choices have their own benefits but it depends on what you would prefer.
A government job in India is a matter of prestige and one of the best ways to serve our nation, by working for the welfare of our country. You would have to clear competitive exams like UPSC, Railway Recruitment Board exams, GATE, RBI Grade B etc., which requires a lot of dedication and hardwork. It also comes with a lot of benefits like assured pension, CGHS insurance etc.
If you want to explore new places and settle abroad, then opting for postgraduate courses overseas is also a great idea. Keep in mind you will have to sacrifice and adjust a lot to a new lifestyle, which can be completely different from Indian lifestyle. The perks are higher standard of living, better wages and much more. In case you get homesick easily, don't choose this option.
In the end, it all depends on how you would want to spend the rest of your life.
Hope it helps. All the best!
Hello there, Now you are completing the graduation in bachelor of computer application course, after completing this course you can apply for government jobs as well as private sector jobs. There are no specific exams for BCA graduates. All government job exams ask for a graduation degree in any stream. So after BCA you're eligible for UPSC, SSC, railway Banking jobs and many more government exams.
If you want to pursue a computer related job, as you are a BCA graduates, then you can look for the job vacancies in NIC (National Informatics Center). It offers government job in IT fields. But most government schemes are implemented by private IT firms, that's why there are not much job offers for BCA and BTech CS.
Have a nice day ..
Hello,
It's not going to any problem whether you change your stream or had year gap, in many of government exam interviews are scrapped such as that of Clerk/SSC CHSL/SS CGL to name a few, in exams where interviews are conducted, you may be asked about educational background and related stuffs, but honestly speaking in any examination, the written part is the only area you've your control over in terms of performing to the best of your capability, to give you an example one of the topper in UPSC last year scored extremely good in Mains but not so good in Interview, in fact if it wasn't for his high marks in Mains, qualifying UPSC itself would have been a hurdle for him. Also, changing streams is not such a huge issue as such, many science background people have had science at 10+2 and later changed to arts stream. Always focus on your preparation part, that what matters the most in any government exams, and this is an area you have control over as I said unlike in case of Interview.
Hello student ,
First of all I will suggest you that don't worry and keep calm and ask your self about your interest if you have in any particular field . If you have then go for it as if you have physics , chemistry and maths in 10+2 then you have lots of courses which offers best opportunities but all you have to do is to go through according to your interest . Suppose if want to go Ips exam then you have to do any graduation course then only you will be eligible for this exam so ask your self whether you want to go for bsc with any of your interested subject or you want to go for any profession degree like engineering or something like that . Decide yourself and then go for any course .
Hope it will help you !

As per your question according to the data Since this year cutoff scores haven't been released, the
candidates can check the table given below to understand probably what are the GATE cutoff scores for
PSU recruitment The GATE cutoff for psu given are previous year and may be used for reference
purpose.
For ECE/CSE students ,You’ll be in safe zone if you secure rank upto 200 and for this your marks may
vary between 65 to 75.
One thing is certain in GATE exam, a difference of 5 marks can create a niche of 1000 rank and u know
well this within 1000 rank gap no IIT/NIT and PSU.
GATE 2020 was conducted as a computer based test on February 1, 2, 8 and 9. The authorities had
released the appliance sort of GATE 2020 on August 31, 2019. the ultimate date for application (without

hi,
There is no surety that you will definitely get government job just after completing your diploma course, generally colleges arranges placement and interviews with companies who hires different stream students as per their vacancy. ow some of the engineering disciplines like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering recruitment for diploma degree holders comes for railways, staff selection commission, public service commission works. so you need to wait for the notifications to come , then apply for the particular post.
Jadavpur University has seen a rapid growth in placement over the years. The institution has a good placement record with the highest salary package of INR 42 LPA whereas the average salary stood at INR 19.96 LPA. The University holds 80% of the total placement record.

Hey
Private jobs and Government jobs both have their advantages and disadvantages depending on work, balance and pay. Salient features of both job types are mentioned below:
Government Jobs:
Private Jobs:
It depends upon the candidate, what he/she prefers and would like to work in as in upcoming future.
Anand, if you look at any of the Government job notifications, the eligibility criteria is simple. You should have completed your Bachelor's degree or Master's degree. Sometimes there is a stream mentioned and sometimes few Government jobs do not even need specific stream specialisations. For example, take UPSC. For being eligible for UPSC, you should have completed your Bachelor's degree in any discipline. It doesn't mention a particular stream or an aggregate or not even the minimum no.of years that one should have completed their Graduation in. But there are few jobs which specify that the Graduation shouldn't have taken more than 6 years. But in your case, you are fine because it is a matter of 1 year. For 97% of the exams that you want to apply for, this might not even be an issue. There might be a minute 3% of the jobs which may have specifications like first attempt pass, etc but if you look at the bright side you can test for 97% of the opportunities. So when you are applying for any Government examination or a job, just look at the eligibility criteria and apply accordingly. Good luck:)
