i would say guru gobind Singh inderprastha university is a better university in all aspects. It has better infrastructure and facilities. Also the placements are better. It is much more popular than bhartiya vidyapeeth. So I would suggest you to go for inderprastha university.

There are less chances of your son to get admission in IPU. Since, maximum required rank is 30-35K in JEE Main (https://www.entrancezone.com/engineering/jee-main-2020/) . But the good alternate can be that you can find more relevant colleges according to your rank.

For admissions to IPU Delhi students are always in a better position than the students outside Delhi.Delhi students get a bit advantage in terms of the cutoff released by IPU.Also the competition is getting tougher day by day.

the admission in through the entrances exam "cet" conducted by ip university.
