with a 14870 rank for a general outside delhi student, it is impossible to get a top college like surajmal, agrasen, vips, jims etc.

however you may get other not so good colleges.

              I am here to answer your query. Amit you didn't mention your category It's fine but next time please make sure you provide all necessary details in the query itself. Based on the 2018 IPU CET cutoff if you belong to a general category then the 2108 cutoff for most of the colleges is around 3000+ and the least cutoff for one of the college id 4526. Similarly, the least cutoff for SC lies round 6475 for on college. Unless you belong to ST/ Defence category it is very hard to get a seat for this rank under the Outside Delhi region.

The placements of IPU are good. Companies take students who can perform well as per their requirment. It depends on th caliber of students, their personality and knowledge for the work.

According to the pass outs, 20k was the highest package offered by an IPO of IBM with some perks included in 2014-15 in Maharaja Aggarsen Institute of Management Studies.

Companies like Genpact offer 16-18k packages.

At this rank, you won't get any college in IPU. I would suggest you to look for other government colleges ( other than NIts, IIITs and GFTIs ) which accept JEE Main's rank. You can also try for some private colleges which accept JEE Main's rank. Below is the link for the same:

See IP university earlier used to start their course in mid August so till that time you had the option of providing the university with the affidavit stating: THAT YOU WILL AT ANY COST PASS YOUR EXAM BEFORE THE COURSE STARTS AND IF IN CASE YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SO, THEN YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY REFUND AND YOUR ADMISSION WILL BE CANCELLED. but now the scenario has changed the admission is done in starting of July so their is nothing you can do about it. Better is to drop the year and re apply next year.

According to the merit list released in 2018, the cutoff for MBBS colleges in Indraprastha University are over 500 marks and go up to 550 for SC category students. As you have secured 338 marks, you have negligible chances to get any of the Government colleges under state quota. 

You will have to try in private colleges only
