JEE Main 2021
Hello Aspirant,
Till now NTA has not released the exact figures of registered candidates so at this moment of time it would be little difficult to help you with the figures but with 60 marks your percentile is expected to be around 82.26 - 85.52 and on such percentile if you belongs to OBC category then you have good chances to get qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 because as per the expected cut-offs :-
The OBC candidate should have at least 70-75 percentile to get qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 and your percentile is expected to be much more so you have some chances but still we have to wait for the result to be out because the cut-offs are released along with the final result of JEE-Main.
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

Good Luck!!
The expected cutoff for Gen EWS category in Jee mains this year is around 70-75 percentile. This is just the estimate according to various factors like paper difficulty level, no. Of students appeared, etc. While scoring around the cutoff will not assure you a good nit/iiit, your ews rank should be above 2000 or 97 percentile + to get a good branch in a top college.
Good Luck !
As per the data you have mentioned in your question, the expected figure for you are :-

Hello,
With your rank and category it is difficult to get into any national and government aided colleges through JoSAA. I would suggest you to look for other state wise engineering entrance exams and other state level counselling that consider JEE Mains score. Some good colleges I would recommend are:
Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh
University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh

Dear aspirant,
As you have mentioned that you have secured 150 marks in JEE mains 2021 and taking into consideration that you belong to general category. So, let me tell you that your percentile would be around 97.5 and your rank would be around 25k.
So,in this percentile you can be sure of getting good nits like Jamshedpur, durgapur, Silchar, allahabad, rourkela. Mainly core branches will be available in this percentile.
For more information you can check out the link given below-
Not just one but there are thousands of stories of candidates who secured very less marks in their first attempt and went on to reach IITs with double-digit ranks in their next attempt. The only thing that requires to succeed in exams like JEE that has so much of competition is dedication and hard work. It doesn't matter if you fail in this attempt, but if you can change your approach and strategy and put a little more effort then you can surely ace this exam in your next attempt. What you need to do is correct or your mistakes that you have done in this attempt, rectify them and then go for it in your next attempt. Take some guidance with mentors if you need and put 12 to 14 hours every day, and trust me if anybody says you that you have to study for 6 hours or less, and you will do it then they are lying because you will have to put at least 12 hours every day to ace this examination. So, having said that you will be completely ready for 2022 JEE mains and you just have to forget about 2021 and start your fresh preparation with new strategy, work on your weak areas and the topics in which you failed to secure good marks this year work on your weakness and polish your strengths and you will surely get into the desired college next year.
I hope this helps.
