i am a law student with 89% in 10th and 82% in 12th and 60% in grad. my profile is not exceptional and i have a law degree from a common law college with some average accolades to my profile. will i be able to get into iim A&B being a female and from an OBC quota?

TANVEE PAREEK 20th Jul, 2022

Dear Aspirant,

Your profile is decent. Also, being a non- engineer and female from OBC category, your chances of getting into a top B School have only increased. IIMs and all other top colleges prefer candidates with diverse backgrounds to add academic diversity in their colleges. Since you’re a lawyer, you will definitely get an edge and the cutoffs for non engineer OBC female is lower. So just focus on scoring the best possible marks in CAT and you’re good to go!

I want to take admission in BA LLB from Lucknow Law college (A private college) but it is only BCI recognised it is not recognised by UGC. The college is affiliated to Lucknow University (State govt University) which is recognised by UGC. Will my degree vaild? should i take admission?

Pooja Bansal 25th Aug, 2022

Dear student,

BCI (Bar Council of India) only provide affiliation to those colleges who have certain quality standards in the field of law. It's main features is that the colleges whole pannel should consist of lawyers.

So be relax the degree from here is valid and you won't suffer.

All the best
