For forensic science, which study I do for 3rd year life science & microbiology or life science & Chemistry?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 5th Nov, 2021

If you want to go for the Forensic Science then technically it would be better if you can go for the Life Science and Chemistry. There are many universities which induce the condition of having Chemistry or Physics as one of the subject in the UG. So keeping chemistry can give you a edge towards your goal.

After MSc In Forensic Science you can have the following work profiles:

  • Forensic Scientist
  • Crime Scene Investigator
  • Forensic Expert
  • Customs Agent
  • Forensic Geologists
  • Forensic Engineer

I have 1 doubt? can explain pls GATE ka form fill karte time zoology life science choose kiya tha kya peper 1or peper 2 dono select nahi huye peper 2 me kya select karna tha

Manas Daspriya 19th Oct, 2021

Hello aspirant,

When anyone fill-up the form of GATE, one have to decide that he/she want to give two papers or one paper.

Here paper stands for exams, you can give two exams in a day or alternative days according to the GATE schedule or can give one exam as usual.

As you have selected Zoology Life Sciences in PAPER 1, and if you don't want to give any other exam on GATE, you shouldn't fill the box of Paper 2 it should be remain blank. Or if you want to give another exam of GATE you can fill that blank according to your interest, but taking consideration to the schedule.

this is 3rd time I gave neet and got 448 marks, I came under general category from agra,up also I am an bsc graduate from life science. Now I am really very confused I dont know I should go with msc or enter into state quota counselling and take BDS or something else? what to do now plz help?

Sijal Siddiqui 23rd Oct, 2021

Hi,

I'll be stating some facts but It will be solely your decision that matters in the end.

Firstly, if you plan to go for another drop, you must be prepared for facing a roller coaster ride. Since you already did attempt Neet 3 times, you must be well aware that Life of a dropper is very difficult in terms of mental and emotional suffering. Also, you mentioned considering taking admission to BDS through state quota counselling, so for this I must tell you that 448 marks are enough for a bds seat if u belong to UR or OBC category.

You can further check your supposed rank through this rank predictor tool

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor

If you plan on taking admission in whatsoever course bds/bams you can use the following tool which will help you select good colleges according to your rank

S ince,  a coin has two faces, taking a risk for a prestigious degree as MBBS is worth it.

If you are passionate about being a doctor and are ready to face any kind of hardships for its sake, then its worth a try.

But, you should mentally prepare yourself beforehand and be highly diligent and focused, then only you can succeed in this cut throat competition where student to seat ratio is very high.

So, just relax yourself for sometime, and think deeply before making a final decision.

Hope this helps!

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured the life science branch and taking into consideration you are from the moc subjects so let me tell you that in terms of placements the average package of the current year stayed around 9.36L per annum.

The life science branch has also decent placements but I would recommend you to do masters also for getting a good pathway in future because it would matter a lot.
