I am preparing for NEET 2022 and I am from maharashtra state, how much marks should I score in order to get CMC Vellore ? ( My category - General )

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 20th Apr, 2022

Hi Aspirant!

CMC Vellore takes admission on the basis of NEET UG/PG result/score. CMC has an intake of 100 seats which are divided into four categories:  Open, Minority Network and CMC Vellore Staff Quota. Under Open Category, 16 seats are set aside ,74 seats are filled by Minority Network by CMC's Network of associated Churches and organisations. Upto 10 seats are set aside for CMC Vellore staff based on merit.

Most of its seats are reserved for christians and some for other religious communities. so if you are a christian then its comparitively easier for you.

Overall, it is suggested to score atleast 75-80% to get admission in CMC which means rank around 500-600 (General Category, based on previous cutoff records).

Hope I answered your query, thankyou!

I am from maharashtra, I got 402 marks in neet 2021 , can I get govt bams college in maharashtra with this score

ayanmukherjee045 11th Mar, 2022

Dear aspirant,

As you have secured 402 marks in neet 2021 so let me tell you that there is more chances to get bams college if you belong to some reservation category like obc/sc/st because in general category it would be a bit difficult to grab a seat in the mbbs stream.

Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

Can i hold on 1st cap round seat in Maharashtra state quota counselling and participate in mop up round???

Sharon Rose Student Expert 9th Mar, 2022

Hello,

You haven't mentioned the counselling you are enquiring about. If it is about Maharashtra NEET UG 2021 counselling then if you haven't filled status retention form after first seat allotment but  joined in the allotted institute then you will be considered for upgradation in second round. Candidates wishing to participate in Mop-up you must fulfill the following criteria

  • Must have admitted in 1st round, 2nd round and secured the admission but not filled status retention form in respective group.
  • Candidates who are wait listed and to whom choice was not available during 1st round and 2nd round in respective group.

Also check the list of candidates who are not eligible to participate in Mop-Up round

  • Candidate to whom a seat has been allotted in computerized CAP rounds but not joined in respective group.
  • Candidate who has filled status retention form
  • Candidates who have joined and resigned after allotment of seats in previous rounds.

If you secure a seat in Mop-up Round then the seat allotted in previous round will gets cancelled automatically and it will be allotted to a next eligible candidate in the merit list. You cannot hold the seat allotted in round 1 to choose between an institute allotted in Mop-up round and first round. If you are not allotted any seat in Mop-Up round then the seat allotted in first round will be retained.
