Mathematics and Computing Engineering
Hello
AI and machine learningwhich deals with predicting the outcomes of various things is one of the subjects of computer science which deals with Mathematics, AI is based on pure mathematics, there are more research based subjects in Computer Science such as projectile motion and other physics based projects.
Hope that helps.
Hello Nithish, you can atudy Bachelor of engineering in Computer science, despite that you don't have CS in 12th. As you will not face any difficulty regarding the same. As in the college, your studies will start from a new level, and nothing is related to the previous courses of computer. So you can do it with ease.
hi nithish,
BSc in Mathematics is a course which focuses on the discipline of mathematics. It is the study of numbers, structure, change and space. It has become a very important domain now.

Hi Ashish. Mathematics and computer engineering is a mixture of Maths with Computer Science and financial engineering. It will be high in demand in the near future since it covers the major needs of the coming future of computers. It is perfect combination of theoritical knowledge and practicals. Overall it is an amazing course designed with an amazing curriculum. For more details you may check out the link below.

Hello Sujit,
Since it is very late to answer your query, JOSSA counselling is over now, I hope you have checked it & allotted the seat in IITs as per your rank. You can stay tuned with us for your further queries.
Good Luck!
Hello dear, firstly congrats you have scored really well,
Coming back to your question in AIR 875, considering you a general category student these are the IIT’s you’ll likely to get.
Core branches like Mech, civil, Ece in the below listed iit’s
IIT KANPUR , IIT KHARAGPUR, IIT MADRAS, IIT GUWAHATI, IIT ROORKEE, IIT VARANASI
And CSE in new iit’s.
IIT DELHI , IIT BOMBAY very little chance of getting even mathematics and scientific computing.
And one thing I would like to add if you are getting non CS branch like EEE or ECE and Mec in old IITs go for it, as there you will find lots and lots of exposure in every filed from tech to non-tech, a really awesome crowd, lots of opportunities, freedom whereas new IITs lags in all these things. Additionally, branch change is also possible there if you perform really well in your 1st year. And are several information regarding this branch change, so if you are interested in knowing them, do comment I will get back to you.
The first placement was here in nit agartala 2018 you can't blame placement here because they were from mathematics.
And a huge diffrence is there btw mathematics and mathematics and computing as it is a research course and as you see in iit it has huge potential but only few student sit here for placement out of 20 only 7 so other go for PhD or do MS because you can't deny that the significance of MS is much more than mtech currently but if you are genuine and want placement nobody can deny that to you. The coding culture is not great so you would have to start on your own but some seniors are very helpful you get subject like theory of computing, soft computing, graph theory, probability and random, data mining and warehousing, AI, which are all related to machine learning, Matlab will also be taught to you but as you know colleges don't prepare you for interview that you have to do on your own.
