M.B.B.S.
Hello aspirant,
Your score is very low compared to the score required for getting admission in medical college which is 550 to 650. If you really wish to pursue MBBS, you can try deemed universities. Or you can take a drop and appear for neet next year.

Hello,
You have a reasonable chance of getting a government MBBS seat if you scored 430 on the NEET 2025 and are from Bihar and fall under the SC category.
AIQ
The typical cutoff score for SC individuals applying to government medical colleges on the AIQ is between 390 and 440. Even if 430 is within the range, getting into a top college is improbable because to the intense competition.
State Quota
The state quota cutoff may differ from the AIQ and be somewhat lower. You have higher chances of getting government MBBS seat in Bihar with 430 marks through state quota.
You will also have fair chance of getting BDS and BAMS because of their lower cutoff.
WHAT CAN YOU DO
Hello Aspirant,
Securing an MBBS seat with 291 in NEET from your OBC category is very tough in government medical colleges through All India Quota (AIQ) or most state quotas, since normally cutoffs are much higher. However, you may have opportunities in:
Expect to need around 650–660 marks to compete in the EWS category for MBBS at Agroha Medical College in 2025.
Your closing rank would likely fall between AIR 15,000–20,000.
Scoring below 650, especially under 640, would significantly reduce your chances of securing a seat under the EWS quota.
With 315 NEET marks (OBC category), getting an MBBS seat in government colleges is unlikely.
You can try for private or deemed universities, where admission is possible but fees range from 5–20 lakhs per year.
Consider BDS or allied health courses if you want lower fees.
Dear student,
With a NEET 2025 rank of 60,000 , it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get an MBBS seat in a government medical college , no matter what category you belong to. In recent years, government colleges under All India Quota and most state quotas have closed around 25,000 to 40,000 ranks , especially for General and OBC categories . In 2024, for example, the last government MBBS seat closed at around 590 marks , which is much higher than the rank you're at.
However, you still have some decent options .
You can try for MBBS in private colleges , especially in states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh . These states have more private seats and sometimes lower cutoffs in the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds . Just keep in mind that fees are high , often Rs 10–25 lakh per year .
If that doesn't work out or isn't financially feasible, you have a good shot at BDS (Dental), BAMS (Ayurveda), or BHMS (Homeopathy) in both government and private colleges. These courses generally have lower cutoffs and are still good medical career options.
Yes, you can do MBBS from a private medical college under the Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for SC category, if you meet the eligibility (like income limit and documents). In many states, a Freeship Card is issued under this scheme, which allows admission without paying the tuition fee at the time of admission.
If you have the Freeship Card before admission, you don't need to pay the fee from your side. But if the card is not issued on time, some colleges may ask you to pay the fee first, and it will be refunded later after your scholarship is approved. It’s best to check the process in your state and with the college where you are taking admission.
Hope it helps !
To secure an MBBS seat at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, candidates need to qualify in the NEET-UG exam and participate in the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) counseling process. The cutoff rank varies each year based on factors like the number of applicants, NEET difficulty, and seat availability. Generally, a NEET score of 550+ is considered competitive for the general category.
With the score of 484 you can get in government medical college, but not in top tier one, probably the one having lower cut offs.
