I have AIR 345000 and all india st category rank of 8800 is there chances of getting government mbbs seat through karnataka state quota?

hemanth kumar 15th Jun, 2025

And going by your AIR 345000 ST rank 8800, this year there is hardly any chance of you buying a seat in government MBBS.

It would be a good back up plan to concentrate on some other course such as private medical colleges or other courses such as BDS, BHMS, or BAMS.

We should also think of preparing seriously next year on NEET to get a better rank thereby raising hopes.

Fee structure and cutoff marks for bds and mbbs

Devanshi Goyal 6th Jul, 2025

HELLO,

For BDS and MBBS courses both fee structure and cutoff marks vary significantly based on the type of college like whether it is government or private , the specific institution and the state. Generally, government colleges have lower fees but higher cutoff marks , while private colleges have higher fees but lower cutoff marks.

MBBS FEES :-

  • For government colleges fees are typically low ranging from a few tens of thousand per year
  • Private colleges fees can range from 5 lakh to 25 lakh or even higher per year
  • In deemed universities fees can be significantly higher sometimes exceeding Rs20 per year

BDS FEES:-

  • Government colleges fees are generally low similar to MBBS in government colleges
  • private colleges fees can range from 2 lakh to 4 lakh or more .
  • Fees can be quite high similar to MBBS deemed universities

My neet 2025 score is 260 from ac category can I get mbbs seat

SHUBHANGI SINHA 11th Jul, 2025

Hello,

The cutoff for MBBS, even under reserved categories, is often significantly higher, therefore your prospects of gaining an MBBS seat at a government medical college are quite slim if you have a NEET 2025 score of 260  and fall into the AC category.

My neet 2025 score is 260 from ac category can I get mbbs seat

SHUBHANGI SINHA 13th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Unfortunately, even under a reserved category like Agricultural Caste, it is quite tough to a coin and MBBS seat in a Government Medical College with 260 Neet 2025 scores. But You are eligible for admission in private colleges through management quota or NRI quotas with lower cutoffs, BDS (private), AYUSH courses and B.Sc Nursing or Paramedical.

Ill score 417 marks in sc category. What changes to got government mbbs

Previa Gayu 14th Jun, 2025

If you score 417 marks in NEET and you belong to the SC category then you have some chances of getting a government MBBS seat especially through state quota Government college cutoffs for SC category are usually lower compared to general category However your chances also depend on your state cutoff trends number of applicants and seat availability You should participate in both All India Quota and State Quota counselling to increase your chances Also keep backup options like BDS or private medical colleges in mind

hey i got 511 marks in neet 2025 with rank 40000 Im from uttarpradesh general category...do i get govt medical College for mbbs??

Mansi Satwani 14th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant,

The cut off of general quota for government medical college is expected to be 550 which is somewhat higher than your score. So it is unlikely for you to get a government medical college seat. But, I suggest you to keep hope till last round of counselling and also take in consideration private colleges.

Best of luck for your future.
