If I do only ncert books in the last three months left in JEE mains first attempt, can I score 180+ in JEE mains?

ayanmukherjee045 26th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your query, you have to understand that jee is not something that you can get over by reading some specific books. Yes, Ncert chemistry is a must so i would recommend you to go through the whole book but for maths and physics you need not necessarily follow ncert books ,you can follow allen maths handbook for maths and for physics go for HC Verma. This is only for theory and you can do other books also if you want .

is it useful to jee mains If I learn NCERT books ?

madhur 14th Oct, 2020
Hello aspirant ,
First of all your all base concepts should be clear .
And for that you need to have a strong hold on NCERT as it is the foundation for any competitive exam.
On that you can go for books provided by Arihant publications for JEE preparation.
Personally I would suggest to to also take a corresponding course from VMC , Fitjee or any other institutes as they provide really good notes, books and a personal mentor to assist and boost your preparations.

I hope this helps.
Best of luck

UPSC Civil Service Exam consists of three stages: Preliminary,Mains,Interview.

To give you a brief about the exam;

Preliminary consists of 200 Marks for each paper, you just need to score the required cut offs against your category, its numbers are not added in the list.It mainly consists of GS Paper-I with the following topic such as History of India and Indian national movement, Indian and World geography, Economic and social development- sustainable development, poverty, inclusion demographics, social sector initiatives etc,Indian polity and governance-constitution,political system,Current Events nationally and Internationally, General Science,General Issues on environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change. you just need to score the required cut offs against your category.

And there's qualifying paper CSAT for which you need to score 33%, that is 66 Mark's out of 20which includes topics such as basic numeracy, comprehension, logical reasoning and analytical ability, general mental ability, decision making and problem solving, interpersonal skills including communication skills. Both consists of 200 marks, MCQs based. Prelims is mcq based, but still it requires knowledge coupled with speed in order to ace it, it's numbers are not added in the final list,

Coming to Mains it's more of a subjective type, one needs to write answer for Four General Studies Paper such as

GS-II includes Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations,
GS-III includes Technology, Economic Development, Bio-Diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management,

The vital step towards preparation is to be well acquainted with UPSC Syllabus , learn it by heart, that's the most crucial step to crack this exam, to know what to read and what to skip.

Have an integrated approach towards preparation because nowadays what's happening is even in prelims, UPSC frame questions based on Mains syllabus,

Set targets on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to complete this extensive syllabus.

Newspaper Readind is equally important, start with The Hindu, or Indian Express on a regular basis to be updated as well as gaining knowledge which shall be highly useful to you in future exam preparation part. Put a more emphasis on editorial part, it will not only broaden your perspective but help a lot in answer writing, and make sure whatever opinion you form it should be well balanced. You can also make notes of this,it'll be very useful in answer writing.

Start with basics always when it comes to reading book, for each subject, you can do with NCERTs for this. This will build your foundation strong,as you progress, move on to other relevant books as mentioned below;

is NCERT books important for JEE mains & advance

Rayan Rego 22nd Jul, 2020

Hello Shubhansh,

Yes the NCERT books are most important for JEE MAINS & JEE ADVANCED preparations.

The JEE exam is totally based on NCERT level and even JEE recommends to thoroughly study the NCERT . These books will help you to help you deeply understand your fundamental concepts. Also there are many question in JEE mains which are directly picked from NCERT books.

It does not matter which coaching class you join they will first teach the NCERT as its the foundation to JEE exam.

Also at the end of each chapter you can find the summary so that it can help in revising during your exam time.

It will be the most  beneficial if you study these books while preparing for this entrance exam.

For Chemistry, organic reactions and other organic conversions are directly asked from the NCERT book. So it is advised to take the base of NCERT level.

You should definitely study it for your better score.

Also other than this you need to study other reference books and study material provided by the coaching center , also don't forget to study past years papers to get a knowledge on time management.

Hope you like the answer!!!!

I am in class 12 now from cbse and I want to score 95 percent so only ncert books are enough for this and how should I prepare

Mohit Gupta 18th Jul, 2020

Hello Aspirant

Don't pressurised yourself for marks, I can understand the importance of class 12 marks but don't be in pressure.

Try to be relax and study.

If we talk about the preparations, CBSE set exam from the NCERT syllabus books.

If you do NCERT books religiously then it'll be great and increase your chances of scoring good.

Your first step is to cover up the whole NCERT Book and if you left with time than you can pick up any sample papers for class 12 and also previous years exams are very important to do.

Try to make a timetable for yourself and set weekly targets and divide the syllabus into topics, it'll make it look easier to cover-up fast and also it'll keep you motivated for the results.

Also think about positive results which you will live after scoring 95%+.

Hope this information is helpful.

All the best for your future.
