what are the subject in civil engineering? physics and maths is it compulsory?
Hello student ,
Each semester is designed in a way to equip students with knowledge on a variety of topics related to the field. Some of the subjects are listed below:
- Electronics
- Programming and data structure
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mechanics
- IT and CAD
- Design of steel structures
- Structural analysis
- Foundation engineering
- Industrial training
As of now, Class XII-level maths and physics subjects are compulsory for admissions to undergraduate programmes in engineering and technology.
I got 54 % in physics and maths in class 12 and i am going to pursue btech degree in cse am I eligible for any defence academy (afcat, inet, or ota ) technical group. Please tell
Candidates for AFCAT must have completed their 10th and 12th grades with 60% in Math and Physics.
For INET, candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the 10th and 12th classes.
In order to be eligible for OTA CDS, one must be an engineering graduate from a recognised institute with physics and math as compulsory subjects in their 12th grade.

AN URGENT RESPONSE REQUIRED! How can NIOS help me To appear for NDA exam with physics and maths despite the fact Im a commerce student (Im already for studying physics and maths with my other subjects seriously) also CAN I have both CBSE AND,NIOS MARKSHEET? or would my NIOS marksheet?
Dear aspirant, you need Nios marksheet to appear for NDA exam as physics and mathematics are compulsory subjects to give NDA exam and Nios marksheet will help you for appearing, CBSE commerce marksheet will not help as physics will not be a subject in it so nios marksheet will help more ,cbse marksheet will just help you that you have cleared your 12th or pursing it.
All the best !!!!
how tough is ece? can uninterested and weak students in physics and maths cope with the course?
Dear aspirant,
ECE course structure is based on electronics. You'll also be learning a bit of coding and mathematics to help you understand the communication aspect of the course. Looking at this we can say that ECE involves a lot of physics and mathematics. Hence, it is possible that one might find it hard without a good base in physics/mathematics. But, if your truly passionate about the subject you'll be able to cope up very well. Interest acts as the differentiating factor in these cases. Most students aren't taught physics and math properly in the school level, hence if you are sure about your interest, you will be able to cope up with the course load easily even though you might find it hard in the beginning.
Hope this helps
