     The  minimum percentage of marks required in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology is at least 50 %  for a candidate who belongs to unreserved category and at least 40 % in the respective subjects for candidates belonging to reserved category.

Yes you can solve problems form DC pandey or Even HC verma whichever looks easier for you. Make sure you civer all syllabus firstly from NCERTbooks for JEEmains. 

Only then yku move towards advanced books else you may face difficulties in ubderstanding
