one more qsn which profession is best scientist in abrod or IIT engineer? and how much salary?

Harsha Sinha 21st Oct, 2020

Hi there,

You can become a scientist in abroad after completing IIT as well. And most of the scientists in drdo, barc, or isro are mostly engineers or doctors as the work . Even the physics or chemical scientists also have to complete their bachelor's degree in bsc or btech then they choose to pursue phd to grow as a scientists.

Even in Abroad you will require the bachelor's degree and if it would be of IIT then you would get some benefit as well.

The salary are also very good of the scientists across the globe.

I hope this helps

I want to be a scientist and engineer at ISRO can I get their only by clearing jee main and advanced is there no other way? Please give me a complete detail

Abhishek Roy 16th Oct, 2020

Look there are many ways to join ISRO, in any discipline. Let me explain it to you the routes.

1. IIST TRIVANDRUM

Pursuing Undergraduate or Dual Degree courses in Avionics/Aerospace or Electronics is one of the best ways if you are seriously targeting ISRO in future. You just need to clear an Interview, provided you have 7.5 GPA after B.Tech and you are directly inducted into ISRO. More than 70% of the batches join research organizations like ISRO, BARC amd DRDO. For Joining IIST, you need to Clear JEE Advanced and subsequently apply for the IIST Counselling, conducted by the Institute.

2. B.Tech/Dual Degree from IIT/Top NITs

ISRO visits many of the Top IITs and NITs and primarily recruits quite a number of budding engineers from Electronics , Computer Science and Mechanical Domains. So there also lies a way.

3. Masters from IISc/IIT after B.Tech

Research Organizations like ISRO and DRDO prefer postgraduates for their highly advanced engineering and research applications. Each year ISRO declares tender for more than 500+ vacanies for Scientist designation , alone for Postgraduates in different disciplines from Instrumentation to Metallurgical/Material Science. So even if you havent cleared JEE, do note you have another chance at GATE, and subsequent M.Tech from IISc Bangalore or preferably a Top IIT. For your Information most of the Top Scientists and Directors are not IITians and NITians but most of them were excellent undergraduates in their respective state colleges and went on to do postgraduate and doctoral degrees from Top Institutes in India and Abroad. An Institute only gives you a platform, ultimately its your responsibility how you nurture your Career and Interests.

4. After Bachelors/B.Tech

In case you want to join ISRO directly after B.Tech, do check the Careers and Recruitment Portal from time to time. There are quite a number of vacanies for Undergraduates from different streams round the year. You need to answer an Examination proctured by ISRO and subsequent Interviews guarantee your selection. But remember a Masters candidate is always preferred by the Recruitment Division of ISRO, so you will always face tough competition. All the Best.

Who earns more a scientist or a doctor

Krishna M V 13th Oct, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

Both have excellent job facts in the future. Salary will probably be higher as a doctor, eventually. However if you need to take out a Lakhs of rupees in loans to finish medical colleges, if you become an M.D Doctor with specific profession then you will earn good Handsome,

Some of the top scientists in the country earn between Rs200,000 and Rs500,000, but they are few and far between. There are some scientists who earn millions, but they are typically entrepreneurs or executives who have turned their work into a commercial success.

Education : Most scientists today have a PhD in their particular area of expertise.

how can I become scientist and doctor both?

Shreya sharma 15th Oct, 2020

Hello Divjyot,

Hope you're doing good.

If you're asking about the title 'doctor' in front of your name, even a phD can fetch you that in any discipline. But, if you're a medical student and want to be a doctor and scientist both, even that is possible.

There are many surgeons and other doctors as well that are practicing medicine as well contributing much to the research and development of the medical sector. Research in medicine is pretty crucial. Also, if you really want to be successful, and also want to contribute to the society in some way, you need growth. You need to be updated about the new trends. Research about new diseases, medical equipments and microbes, is necessary. So, you can be a scientist and doctor as well.

Thankyou.

Hey! This is Monika, at present Im in class 10. My Long-term goal is to become a scientist. Im interested in the the study of cosmos. But i dont want to take standard maths. I want to take basic maths. Does it will affect my carrier?

Manasi Kadam 7th Oct, 2020

Hello Monika,
If u see the difference in basic maths and standard maths, it's the matter of conceptual difficulty. If you want to become a scientist in future then having your base strong in advanced maths is very important and being clear about scientific concepts and logical reasoning and thinking. I recommend you to take standard maths if you really want to make your career in research field.

Choosing basic maths would make you familiar with concepts but it won't go into depth, the base required for keeping you ready for further challenges you will be facing in this field.

Hope it helps!
Thank you!

how we become research scientist without clearing JEE main and advance

Ayush Singh 5th Oct, 2020
Hello Harsh!!
As you asked about the post of Research Scientist, I firstly want to clear you one thing, JEE Mains and Advance is not everything that a student can do.

There are many others streams too and the way a person can become a Research Scientist.
The student should get his/her Bachelor's Degree in the stream in which she want to do research in future like clinical research, information technology research scientist, medicine, biology etc.

Then after getting Bachelor's Degree, he should get Master's Degree in particular stream. If the College or University is not offering the course, then candidate has to give Graduate Record Examination (GRE) . This program will also be there for three to five years.

The most important one is the earlier work experience, the aspirant should have at least one year of experience as a research assistant on some topic and it should be before Ph.D program.

Many institutions ask for the proper certifications too from the verified agencies but in most cases, they don't ask for it.
After that, if candidate want to be as a Lead Research Scientist, then he/she have to complete doctorate degree after completing the Masters degree. This will take four to five years.
In this degree, they will defend their researches through formal processes.

So, There is a lot of scope in this field and many countries are searching for the research scientists of different country welfare issues topic.
Overall, anyone can pursue this as a career without JEE Mains and Advance.

Hope that my answer helped you.

All the Best for your Future Goals !!
