I am facing the same problem . I applied for upsc epfo eo/ao 2020 on 21st of January but my ews certificate issued on June 2020. now I think we will not get ews benefits but we will be considered as general category apllicants .

UPSC exam is conducted in three stages, where stage 1 and stage 2 is written:
Stage I - Preliminary Examination (usually conducted in May/June, results by August) Stage II - Main Examination (usually conducted around November, results by February/March) Stage III - Interview (usually conducted over Marc/April, final results announced a few days before the next preliminary exam)

Firstly take care of your college studies and then look forward to it. It requires 7-8 hours of study in a single day.

*Make a routine or a time table and try to give at least 8 hours to studies , keep short breaks of 20 to 30 minutes after every 2.5 to 3 hours
*Read newspaper daily and keep yourself updated with the current affairs
*Choose your optional subject wisely , choose the subject you have interest in.
*Make short notes after completing each chapter
*Revise :- there's no point of preparing for the exam if you couldn't recall anything in the UPSC Examination so you should stress on revision as well.
*Solve previous year question papers and mock test papers ;- You should solve these , it will give you idea of types of questions asked and their difficulty level and will help you a lot.
*Also work on your communication skills and personality development as it plays an important role in your interview round

Diploma holders are not eligible for UPSC CSE as most of the Diploma courses are three years courses which are not accepted by civil service . The degree equivalent to xii is recognized by civil service hence 10+2 or equivalent degree is eligible for UPSC CSE.

you should submit your diploma final result marksheet or your overall diploma result for upsc cse under diploma option . you should choose diploma option while filling the form .
