its always better if you go for your hometown college, since your percentile is good enough you can get admission in nit. although your preferences are considered you can easily get admission through home quota. There is a 50% conservation for home quota students.

Over the years the cutoff for NIT Agartala in Electronics and Communications branch for OBC category is around 5k-6k and for electrical engineering about 6k-7.5k. So I do't think you will able to get a seat
