Hello Aspirant,
Indeed, you can take NEET 2026 after giving an improvement exam in 2026. As per NEET eligibility criteria, a candidate needs to obtain a passing mark in qualifying examination science stream subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English - in that exam by boards. For general category students, minimum qualifying percentage/aggregate in PCB was 50% aggregate. Now, since you mentioned you've obtained 44% in HSC, at this time you are not eligible - however, if you reappear for the qualifying examination in 2026 and obtain passing marks with qualifying percentage, the eligibility requirement will be fulfilled, and you can apply for NEET 2026.
Which Qualification Code Should You Use?

Good morning
Unfortunately, NFSU doesn’t publish an official cutoff for 2024. However, we can infer from 2023 data that:
The lowest General category score admitted via NFAT 2023 was 39.75 marks out of 100
By observing the trend we expect the 2025 cutoff while not exact, it aligns with the ~40–50 range for General category last ranks.
Hello Neha,
With a NEET 2025 score of 337, 84 percentile, an AIR of 344243, and an OBC rank of 164433, you may find it difficult to secure a government MBBS seat in South India, especially in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, or Kerala where OBC cutoffs generally higher in these states. You still have options in:
Always check with your State level counselling (like, KEA, TN Medical Selection etc.) for the latest cutoffs and seat matrix. Also watch out for Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy rounds as cut off may drop a few points.
The seat matrix of D Pharm in KCET IS released on their official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
You can visit the website for seat matrix and also for councelling details.

With a comprehensive rank of 394 and a specific rank of 296 in DUVASU Mathura in the general category, your eligibility for a free (merit) seat will depend on the specific course cutoffs in the current admission cycle. Course specific cutoffs can differ - for example, the general category cutoff for B.V.Sc. & A.H. is usually much lower (top 100-150). However, you do have a legitimate chance to obtain a merit seat in less popular courses like B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotech or Industrial Microbiology. Make sure you monitor the official counselling announcement and seat allotment rounds.
Hello. If you got a low score in CUET, don’t worry. You still have many options.
You can apply to colleges that have low CUET cut-offs. Some state and private universities accept students with low scores. You just need to find the right college.
You can also look for private colleges that offer admission through management quota. These colleges do not focus only on CUET scores, but the fees may be a bit higher.
Some private universities also give admission directly based on your 12th marks or their own entrance test. You can check those too.
Another option is to join a diploma or skill-based course in fields like IT, healthcare, design, or media. Later, you can move to a degree course.
If you are very serious about a dream college or course, and your family agrees, you can take a gap year, prepare again, and try to score better next time.
You don’t need to panic. Many students build successful careers even after scoring low in entrance exams.

Yes, you can sit for CAT exam and apply to the leading IIMs if you achieve a good percentile. Past academic history does have some bearing on their application process, especially for the older IIMs (IIM A, B and C) as they will take a holistic evaluation process for the shortlist, this includes the 10th grade, 12th grade, graduation marks, work experience and diversity. That said that IIMs (especially the newer IIMs such as IIM Trichy, Udaipur, Kashipur etc.) place more emphasis on CAT percentile & performance in PI than previous academic history. So that even with below average academic history, a 98 - 99 + percentile, and good performance throughout the WAT-PI round means you still with some chances.
Focus on achieving a good score at CAT and prepare for interviews - there are plenty of candidates with similar academic backgrounds as you who got into an IIM.
