which category does josaa actually use during document verification for top 20 percentile?the one from my board exam form,or the one i declare in Jee mains + provide certificate for? I gave board exam from sebc. Mh board combined sebc and obc for calculation, but we dont come in central obc list.

Chelsie G 6th Aug, 2025

For the top 20 percentile eligibility in JOSAA counselling, the category that is used is based on what you declare in your JEE Mains application and for which you provide a valid certificate during document verification not necessarily the one mentioned in your board exam. Since you're from Maharashtra and appeared under SEBC, you’ll be treated as a General category candidate unless you have a valid central OBC NCL certificate.

So for JOSAA, they’ll consider your category only if it’s valid under the central category list and matches what you declared in JEE Mains along with the correct certificate. The SEBC category used in the MH board won’t be considered by JOSAA unless it overlaps with central OBC NCL.

Sir, Kya M. Sc. pvt.ho sakta hai Chemistry/Botany se

Abhi sonkar 5th Aug, 2025

Hello. Yes, you can do M.Sc. in Chemistry or Botany as a private (non-regular) student — but only in a few universities in India, as most UGC-recognized universities do not offer private mode for postgraduate science courses due to their practical/lab requirements.

M.Sc. Private/Distance Mode is Rarely Available for:

Botany

Chemistry

Because t hese subjects involve lab work, practicals, and experiments, which cannot be completed through distance/private mode easily.

CmRtc is good or mlritm is good for CSM

Babita Rawat 6th Aug, 2025

Before choosing the best from both here's the comparison:

CMRTC is a private Institute that offers variety of UG courses that even includes CSM. Infrastructure is well maintained with numerous labs, webinar, auditorium and even excellent facilities. Highest package was of around 44 LPA, and majority of recruiters includes Amazon, Tech Mahindra, HSBC, SAP.

MLRITM is a private Institute that offers CSM and admission are entrance exam based with minimum 50% in 10+2 requirement. Highest package of 33 LPA, average packages are around 8-12 LPA.

So now you can choose CMRTC if you value infrastructure, decent placement recruiters and a good academic. Or choose MLRITM if it's affordable for you, and you are oki with the moderate placement.

I have a state merit no. Of 11715 so is this possible to get BDS course in pacific dental college and hospital through state counseling in 1st round

Chelsie G 6th Aug, 2025

With a state merit number of 11715, getting a BDS seat in Pacific Dental College and Hospital through state counselling in the first round might be a bit difficult, especially if you're from the general category, as the initial cutoffs usually stay lower in early rounds. However, if you belong to a reserved category or if the college has a relatively higher intake, you may still have a chance depending on the seat availability that year. Even if it doesn’t happen in the first round, there’s still a good chance in the second round, so don’t lose hope and make sure to participate in all the rounds of counselling.

Hi I wanted to know about the bed course in azam campus as Im bsc graduate

Ayush Madanpotra 5th Aug, 2025

Yes, you can apply for the B.Ed course at Azam Campus (H.G.M. Azam College of Education, Pune) since you have completed your B.Sc.

To be eligible, you need to have at least 50% marks in your B.Sc. If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, OBC or PwD, then you may get a relaxation of 5%. You should have studied at least one school-level subject during your B.Sc. The course is full-time and lasts for 2 years.

Admission is based on merit and sometimes you may need to appear for the MAH-B.Ed CET, which is the Maharashtra state entrance exam for B.Ed courses.

Many students study here, but some have shared feedback online saying that the college management is more focused on profit now, and some faced issues with how the courses were handled. So it's better to visit the college or talk to students before taking admission.
