Are there some changes in architecture course years from 2019?

The Architecture course at the undergraduate level is the B.Arch. It is a five years program which can be started after 10+2 with minimum of 50% marks. This course is designed to produce licensed and professional architects who are authorized to do private constructions and government constructions. Architectural courses generally include the activity of designing models of builidngs, blueprints for construction and other physical structure of any land or builing or any other project. The role of an architect is very evident in construction of shopping malls, flyovers, complexes and more.
The basic break up of the course is very simple. The course covers a lot of varied topics –

There are institutes offering Bachelor of Architecture –

At the postgraduate level, M. Arch is available. This is a great addition to your CV. Master in Architecture basically focuses on specialization. The most common specializations offered by colleges across the country are –

3. Environmental Planning
4. Infrastructure Planning
5. Construction
Most of the colleges accept NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) scores for admissions along with your scores in the 12th grade. Some colleges have their own entrances along with NATA.
Conducted by the Council of Architecture, NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is a national level common Aptitude Test in Architecture. The exam measures the applicants' drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability, that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to Architecture.
From 2019, NATA will be held twice a year. The first phase of the exam will be held tentatively in mid-April while the second phase of the exam will be conducted in the first week of July. Aspirants will have the choice of appearing in one or both the attempt. The exam duration for both Aptitude test and Drawing test have been revised. The duration of the aptitude test has been reduced to 60 minutes, while the duration of the Drawing test has increased to 120 minutes. Earlier both the sections were 90 minutes each.
The application forms for NATA are open now for 2019 session.
The course has a lot of potentials. One can work with the Government after the completion of the course in areas such as the Ministry of Defence, Archaeological Department, National Institute of Urban Affairs, Planning departments and more.
The career path for architecture is very wide. There are many roles that architecture can take on. Some examples are –

Thus if you have interest in this field, then there is a lot of scope in this field. The course in the field has not experinenced any major changes. Some changes have come in the Entrance Exam - NATA.
