Dhangar is caste community found in the states of maharashtra, goa ,Karnataka, madhya pradesh and uttar pradesh. Dhangar comes under Nomadic Tribes category (NT). There are types in NT category such as NT-A,NT-B,NT-C,NT-D. Also NT-1,NT-2,NT-3. Dhangar belongs to NT-C which is equals to NT-2.
