Difference between general BCA and specialized BCA?
Dear Srishti,
It makes me feel happy when I have queries from students like you. Am glad that you are interested in BCA and it seems that you are confused about the course selection.
You will come across a good number of instituions offering BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications). The undergraduate programme is a three-year study on applications of computer systems and information technology. The course curriculum of this programme is somewhat similar to B.Tech CS/ IT, which however is a four year programme and is more specialised.
There is no programme called specialised BCA as such. However a few instituions also offer some certificate courses/ add-on courses with BCA including Big Data, Data Analytics, etc, which are indeed helpful.
For further queries, feel free to ask. Beacuse when you ask, you learn and know the one which you intend to.
Thank you.

As such there is no much difference. The course syllabus remains the same. But probably if you are doing BCA with some specialization then it can add an advantage to BCA.
For example, BCA with Cloud Computing etc.
A simple BCA program, you will get skills and information not only about Computer and Information Technology but also in communication, organization and management. One also get to learn programming languages such as Java, C++, HML, SQL, etc. Information about various computer applications and latest developments in IT and communication systems is also provided but in specialized BCA this all will add along with knowlege and learning for cloud computing.
Good Luck.
