Hiii...... I would like to know about the scope of MSW(COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT)..what about the job opportunities.. Explain me in detail plz.

Masters degree in social work always have high job opportunities. Students who have completed MSW course are eligible for working in both government and non-government organizations. They are mostly hired by NGO'S to help people suffering from negative emotions like anger and anxiety. They are hired by international organizations like UNESCO, UNICEF, WHO etc who pay high salaries depending on their resources and their benefits.
Most of the MSW graduates are welcomed by the non-profit organizations to perform services to the society.
They can work in child welfare organizations to help children who are neglected by their parents and children from low income families. They can work with schools in educating, counseling and guiding children on issues such as behavioral programs,health education, truancy prevention programs and other important activities specifically communication between students, teachers and parents. They can also work in community health centers, mental hospitals, and charitable trusts.
MSW does not require any experience for their work. They are also hired by corporate sector companies and industries.
The salary for fresh graduates starts from Rs. 8000 /- to Rs. 15000/-. Earlier the compensation was not good but now the demand for social workers is more hence organizations are offering more salaries.
India is a growing economy and this impacts people. It will face problems like child labor, illiteracy, urban poverty, crime against women, and many more. Hence social organizations and NGO'S must work on to tackle such problems. It will ultimately lead to a creation of jobs in the particular area.
