how does the 27% obc guota works for this year.please let me know
Dear aspirant
This year govt had allowed 27% reservation for OBC category and 10% for EWS category in all india quota counseling of government medical college.
This reservation was already prevelent in the state quota counseling so there will not much difference in state quota cut off marks.
Earlier in AIQ counseling there were no reservations for OBC and EWS category and they were allocated seat as general merit rank. Only SC-15% and St-7.5 % reservation were there in AIQ counseling earlier than this year. Now total reservation will be almost 60% for different categories and only 40% seat will be for Gen category or open for all.
As of now there will reservation of 27% of seats in AIQ so OBC cut off may go little bit lower than previous although it will not affect much because largest population of India belong to OBC category only.
Previous cut off for Gen, OBC EWS were almost same as last year it was ,611 marks for all three with slight rank difference in AIQ counseling. Now this year it may decrease for OBC and EWS by 5-10 marks than Gen category in AIQ counseling.
