How i analyse my mock and how I manage my time I only attempt 70-80 questions in 120 minutes please give me some easy and effective solution
For analysing the mock test :-
After you give mock tests take a break of 5-10 mins after which compare your marked answers with the actual answer key. While giving mock tests solve calculations and formulas on a plain sheet and keep it safe.
While checking your answers if you have marked a wrong option for a question then see the solutions from the answer key and compare from your sheet. See where have you made mistake. Sometimes student tend to make silly mistakes for example in conversion of units, calculation, etc. If any conceptual mistake was made then get it cleared at that point of time itself. Don't leave it for later because it will pile up.
If a you have marked correct option for a question then also check the solution from the answer key. The solution might be easier then what you have done. If there's a direct formula for it and you did other lengthy method then note down that formula somewhere in a book. Keep it safe.
To be fast with solving Multiple Choice Questions start with 10 questions and try to finish it in 18-20 mins. If the goal is achieved then keep on increasing the number of questions to 90 and be proportional with time.
Now in entrance exam not all questions require 1-2 mins. Some of them are theoretical and can be done in few seconds while some require more time. Here time management is important. Practice as many mock tests as you can.
Also if you are stuck at a question don't spend too much time on it. It will unnecessarily lessen your time required for other questions. If stuck at a question leave it for last and move on to next.

Hello Vani Sharma
Thankyou for connecting with careers360
I am not sure about which exam question papers you are solving so I am giving a general view of handling time.
Always go for questions which consume less time such as general knowledge and English. Do comprehensions later if they are more consuming then quantitative questions.
.
Try dividing time to the questions for example if there are 100 minutes, 100 questions 40 questions are of GK, 30 English, 30 maths then do
40 question in 20 minutes,
30 in 15 minutes
Rest 30 in 45 minutes.
10 minutes for reviewing
Skip a question if you don't know its answer do not spend all your time for 1 mark.
.
Practice more and more quantitative questions
Reply back in the comment if you still get any problem :)
All the best
Hello,
I would like to divide this answer in 2 parts i.e Section-wise and the Question-wise analysis.
Section-wise Analysis:
- After scanning your section-wise scores & accuracy, decide the time you should invest in every section in your next mock test.
- You need a good score in various sections to clear the cutoff so you need to go through every section.
- You should prepare an effective strategy for scenarios where a particular section may have a time limit or not.
Question-wise Analysis:
- Decide the sequence in which you should attempt the questions that is whether you should attempt your strong areas/easy questions/less time-consuming to weak areas/difficult questions/more time-consuming.
- You should decide the time you should give to questions which improves yout time management skills and thus giving you more time to attempt more.
Then compare the questions , the answered ones, the wrong ones and others:
If you have answered it correct then most students tend to ignore their strong areas. But, there can be a better way to utilize your strengths. Check if the solution technique adopted for the question was same as yours? Or is it more time-saving than yours?
If you have answered it wrong then compare your solution with the one given. Check what went wrong in your solution? If the solution technique is same, it indicates lack of accuracy. This means you need to work more on your calculation techniques. If the solution is different, learn & practice it on regular intervals.
If you have left something unattempted then first, try to solve these questions yourself. Check if your answer is correct or not. Then, check the given solution & design your strategy accordingly.
Hope these tips help you and all the very best to you!
