Dear Student,
Glad to inform you that for securing a seat in any of the top NIT's for B.tech in Computer Science you need to have a rank under 1000. In certain NIT's like NIT durgapur you can get computer science with a rank of about 7k-8k even some lower NIT's have cut offs of about 10k so to secure a seat in an decent NIT i would suggest a rank under 5000.
