Hello,
First of there are many reputed journalists who don't have a traditional background as in graduation from the field of journalism and mass communication, still they have done good for themselves, there are many graduates from social science, humanities background such as those with English(Major) choose to go for postgraduate degree in Mass Communication, and there is no such barrier of belonging to any specific stream in graduation , but yes if your graduation and post-graduation studies are aligned then yes, it does help a lot, some of the courses which you can consider in graduation are bachelor of journalism offered by kamla nehru college, mcc chennai, delhi college of arts and commerce etc, BJMC is offered by international institute of mass media(delhi), IPU etc, and you can also consider BMM offered by some of the top colleges in Mumbai/
Hey.
To be eligible for B COM or Economics honours students are required to have score a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 exam from a recognised Indian board.
You just neet to sit for the entrance exams conducted by colleges for admission into BCom or Economics courses. If you pass in the exam you will get the seat. After that you can go for masters from desired college.
Yes its true that Maths are required for pursuing Economics and also for B COM.
So sorry to say but you can't sit for exams related to Economics and Commerce.
You should first pass maths from NIOS and after that you can sit for the exam.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Does doing graduation from economics give an edge in the stream of mass com?
And, even if I would have taken maths then that would have come under the optional category.
So, as I am a non schooler, my registration is yet not complete for 12th is what I think. Even if now I take maths as then for 12th would that count in my main percentage...
Or is just passing in it is considered up to mark...
And the last one more thing sir.. I haven't studied class 11th .maths will I be able to at least do my 12th ncert if I start now .. is 11th and 12th maths very relatable...
I am saying for the passing criteria because I was good performer in maths till class 10th
