Hello Bebe,
Assam Engineering College will only ask you to submit a self attested photocopy of your class 12th marksheet. The original marksheet should not and will not need to be submitted, it will only be required for verification of the photocopy of the marksheet that you have submitted. This is the case for all colleges, not only CEE Assam.

They told that they will take it for around 1 year.. But i will need it for my jee as well as neet counselling.. What can i do.... Pls help

In that case give them a coloured photocopy of the certificate and tell them about your problem. I am sure they will understand.
