If I choose ECE as my B.Tech major, what will be the options available to me after completing my B.Tech. Which courses will I be able to take in M.S/ M.Tech. What govt. jobs/exams will I be able to apply for? Can I jump to a Computer Science subject in my M.S/M.Tech? What packages can I expect?

Dear Candidate,

You can always apply for any course in MS/Mtech irrespective of the engineering degree you hold. There are numerous examples of people doing masters from abroad and in India from different engineering backgrounds. Only thing that remains is you should be able to convince the college of why you are making the switch from your core stream to some other. And also you need to be aware of the pre-requisites required for each topic in Masters.

There are vast possibilities after your graduation, you can try for civil exams, give banking exams. Have an open mind throughout your engineering years, invest your time in different fields & interact with people from different fields to have a better understanding of the decision you can make.

Remember you can always change your stream irrespective of your core stream.
