If in cap round 2 does not allot any college then can i choose the college which I was allotted in round 1
Yes, if you were allotted a college in CAP (Centralized Admission Process) Round 1 but did not secure a seat in CAP Round 2, you typically have the option to retain the college that was allotted to you in Round 1. However, this is contingent on a few important factors:
1. Seat Acceptance: You must have accepted the seat offered in CAP Round 1. If you did not accept the seat in Round 1 and proceeded to Round 2 hoping for a better option, then the Round 1 seat might not be available to you anymore.
2. Freezing Option: If you chose the "Freeze" option after Round 1 (meaning you accepted the seat and did not wish to participate in further rounds), the seat would be reserved for you, and you wouldn't participate in Round 2.
3. Reporting to College: If you accepted the Round 1 seat, paid the fees, and reported to the allotted college, your admission is secure, regardless of the outcome of Round 2.
4. Auto-Upgradation :If you chose the "Float" or "Slide" option, where you were looking for a better option in Round 2, and did not get a new allotment, you would typically still retain the Round 1 seat.
