last strategy for the jee advance2020
Answer (1)
Dear student,
This strategy is simple.
Just you have to follow some few simple preparation strategies and then you will be well prepared for JEE advanced 2020.
Now there is not so much time left just you have only 48 hours left and on 27th September you have your grand finale.
So, the last step that you should take to prepare yourself is by making the previous years JEE advanced paper of 2019, 2018, and 2017 in real time and always think positive and be confident.
Because this positivity and confident attitude will help you very much in JEE advanced 2020.
And just relax, don't study extra or new things or don't look for new topics, just make these previous years question papers in real time and don't stress yourself, Sleep well and make your mood happy and don't fear.
That's all.

@ Aryan sagar thanks for your reply and I want another queiry regarding this ,that I have completed my ap emceat exam yesterday so I can't start the preparation of advance 2020 now if I solve the pcq's can I score atleast marks in advance pls reply me and I know that I can't break the mountain with one day

Dear divya,
First of all I would say that it's a good thing that you have given your AP EAMCET exam because from that exam actually you saw some variety of questions and in JEE advanced exam variety of questions plays an important role.
So for now just simply go through the topics in which you have strong command, but remember that don't study or see the new topics which you don't know.
Also if you start solving previous years questions of JEE advanced now, then it will cause a bad effect on your mind. So it's better that you to solve 2018 question paper tomorrow in real time. And solve in day time because the jee advanced will take place on day time. And next day from tomorrow (a day before jee advanced) solve the 2019 question paper in real time with honesty. And remember that, don't go for new topics. After making the previous year paper and honestly checking and correcting yourself, just simply go through the topics in which you have a very strong command in the left time, and this will help you score in jee advanced 2020. And sleep well without any fear or taking tension or any type of mind load.

Dear divya,
Thank you so much for believing in yourself.
And never give up hope, and always be optimistic and try your best, give your best at jee advanced 2020. Now if you have studied well, then always remember in examination hall if a question is difficult for you then it is difficult for all. Don't lose concentration, and don't feel demotivated. Just give your jee advanced exam thinking yourself as a pro. And don't fear.
Don't worry about results or anything, Just give the best you can.
And my best wishes are with you.

@Aryan sagar can you say me the how many marks needed to qualify in jee advanced?pls reply me
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
There is no fixed pattern in jee Advanced exam, every year there is a change in pattern and total marks. Last year the jee advanced exam was of 372 marks.
If you are a general category student, then every year there is a cutoff trend seen for general candidates that they must score an aggregate of around 30 to 35% of the total score of JEE advanced and also for each subject they must score at least 7 to 10% of the total marks of each individual subject to clear the cutoff.
Last year for general candidates, the cutoff score was 35% of the total marks of jee advanced, and for each subject the cutoff marks was 10% of each subject total marks.
So according to last year, for qualifying jee advanced 2019 from general category one must score at least 131 marks in total and also score at least 13 marks in each subject to clear the individual subject cutoff and for securing a rank in advanced exam.
So you must try to score at least 35 % of total marks of jee advanced 2020 by clearing all the individual subject cutoff of nearly 10% of each subject's total marks.
And remember one thing you have to clear all the subject cutoff because if you don't clear subject cutoff in any one of the subject, then you will not be selected in Jee advanced and your rank will not come.

@ Aryan can you say me the best topics with high weightage low time to revisable topics as I think that you crack the jee advance and I thought u know very well about it .pls help me as I study for mains I thought I can revise it again but I am in doubtful what should I study pls help me!
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
Now there is not so much time to study and I had also told you earlier that don't go for any new topics.
You must prioritize yourself for solving jee advanced previous year paper. And just revise the topics in which you are strong in your free time.
But still as you asked then here are some of the scoring and simple chapters for jee advanced :-
PHYSICS :-
1. unit and dimensions ( just go through this topic and some of important constants like gravitational, Planck's, boltzmanm, etc. constant and you can easily correct the question from this topic)
2. Magnetism
3. Electromagnetic induction
4. Sound wave ( open and close organ pipes, Beats and especially Doppler effect )
5. Rotation ( moment of inertia, Torque and Rolling motion)
6. Optics ( if you are good in this then you can score very well, otherwise if you don't have confidence in it, don't waste time by trying again again)
7. Gravitation.
8. Electrostatics ( if you remember all the formulas and know the concept if finding electric Field in different type of bodies specially in scoop mass system, then it is one of scoring chapters of jee advanced)
9. Fluid mechanics ( Bernoulli's theorem and questions)
CHEMISTRY :-
Physical Chemistry :-
1. Solid state ( if you know can solve the questions of finding the empirical formula of unit cells, know each and every unit cell with detail, then you can easily score in this chapter and this is the easiest and scoring chapter of jee advanced)
2. Liquid solutions
3. Mole concept and the concept of equivalents and concentration terms.
4. Electrochemistry ( Faraday laws )
5. Chemical equilibrium.
6. Atomic structure
7. Thermodynamics ( pv graphs and hess law)
Inorganic Chemistry :-
1. coordination compounds.
2. Metallurgy ( very high chances that one question related to ores can be asked)
3. Periodic table ( exceptions in general trends in periodic table like trends in atomic radii, ionization enthalpy, screening or z effect, etc.)
Organic chemistry (very scoring)
If you know the information about reagents that what they do or know the reactions, and know where to attack a given reagent then you can solve organic chemistry, because all the chapters are linked with each other and you can't point out any hard or easy chapters.
MATHEMATICS :-
1. Vectors and 3d geometry ( very scoring)
2. Differential calculus and integral calculus ( definite integration )
3. Determinants and matrices ( easiest and scoring chapters in whole jee advanced mathematics )
4. coordinate geometry ( straight lines - concept of homogeneity, circles, parabola, and rectangular hyperbola)
5. Sequence & series ( next easiest and easily scorable chapter after determinant and matrices)
6. Area under curves ( if you have command in integration then you can easily score in this chapter)
And also remember : don't wake up till late nights, just go to sleep on 10pm or 11pm. It will help you.

@Aryan sagar I wanna write jee advance tommorow and I am feeling little nervous and I tried my level best hope all is well and I follow your instructions ,thank you so much for your support
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
Sorry for late reply.
But don't be nervous. This is a very common thing for every student. Even when I had my jee advanced in 2019, then I was also nervous. Because in 2019 there were two big reputed exams on consecutive days WBJEE and JEE ADVANCED. And because of this my jee advanced Paper 1 doesn't went well.
But I managed to get over with my nervousness. And i performed well in paper 2. And secured ranks in both the exams. Because I left all my worries behind in my paper 2.
So you can also get over with it. Don't think about results. Just do what you can. Just try to give your best. And if your paper 1 didn't go well, then give jee advanced paper 2, by leaving behind all your worries and just try to give your maximum, your best, your full output. What you have learned, what you have studied, what were your concepts, your knowledge, just vomit all these in when you try to solve the questions for jee advanced.
Around 2.5 lakhs student appears, and from that most of them leave their exam giving paper 1, so they are automatically disqualified, some of them just sit for time to pass because they don't know any question, so they also can't do anything. So your competition is automatically decreased. Just remember don't lose your concentration. Scratch pen on paper regularly for 6 hours. And remember one thing for all exams - if there are many candidates participating in an exam, then your competition is basically with a handful of serious students. Because many of them just come to exam hall without any preparation and seriousness.
That's why only these handful of serious students get selected.
My best wishes are with you.
Good luck.

@Aryan sagar I try my level best in today's paper morning paper is moderate and phy was tough and the problems are lengthy and I attempted 34 questions and in afternoon session it was tough in my point of view and I attempted 33 questions I don't whether I will qualify or not but I try my level best and I am worried about results
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
Don't worry about results, because what's done is done and you cannot change it so just relax and wait for 5th October when the Jee advanced results come.
And if you are in doubt that whether you will qualify in JEE advanced or not then please don't think much as you have given other exams too like JEE mains and AP EAMCET exam so you can get a college this year.
As you have said you have attempted 67 questions in total which means you have attempted more than 60 percent of the JEE advanced paper. So it's a good thing that you attempted the questions wth your level best. And as you were not prepared for jee advanced, still you gave both papers and this is a good thing.
Just don't worry about results and wait for actual results. Till then relax and indulge yourself in other mind refreshing activities.

@Aryan sagar I wrote well in paper 1 but I not wrote well in the second paper and I have a doubt that if I qualify in 1st paper and disqualify in 2 nd paper and get maximum marks in 1 st paper than can I qualify for advance?
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
In jee advanced your overall subject and aggregate cutoff matters.
Means, there is no rule that you have to qualify in paper 1 or 2. You must clear the individual subject cutoff with help of both papers.
Means for eg : let's take mathematics subject, this year the jee advanced paper was of 396 marks. Means 132 marks for each subject .
Now you add your paper 1 and paper 2 mathematics score and if that score is greater than 10% of 132 ( i.e = 13.2), then you will be said qualified in mathematics. Similarly this is applicable to other subjects.
And if you are a general candidate then apart from the individual subject cutoff you must secured at least 35% of 396 marks.
So there is no individual paper qualifying criteria.
Just you have to clear individual subject cutoff by adding paper 1 and paper 2 marks and secure aggregate 35% of total score, then you will said to be qualified in jee advanced.

@Aryan sagar can you explain me the diff BTW the IIT and iiit and how can we get admission in iiit and my rank according to ews 28511 can I get seat in it
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
Sorry for late reply.
IIT - indian institute of technology, where students get admission only on their jee advanced rank. You must have to secure a rank in jee advanced for getting a seat in iit.
Now,
IIIT - these are of two types :-
1. INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.
2. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.
IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bhubaneswar and IIIT Bangalore are private colleges which are often mistaken as government college by the students. Apart from these three IIITs the rest of IIITs are government.
In both these types of iiits, the admission is given only on basis of jee mains rank.
And if you have got 28511 ews rank in jee mains then sorry, you can not get any iiit.
Even in csab round the chances are difficult this year because there is no surety that the seats will remain vacant after jossa all round counseling ( as due to this pandemic situation of covid-19 ).
If your luck is good then you can get seat in csab counseling in some of the iiits like iiit lucknow, iiit jabalpur, etc.
And one more thing, with this much ews rank
you can get HBTU KANPUR.
Hbtu Kanpur is one of the reputed and oldest engineering colleges and it is a good government college.
with this much ews rank you can get Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering electronics engineering and information technology till round 3 counselling of Hbtu Kanpur.
Also you can get chemical engineering in first round counselling.
So, if you didn't get seat in nit or iiit or iit, then definitely you can go with hbti Kanpur.
currently the online registration and choice filling for admission in BTech course in Hbtu Kanpur is going on for session 2020-2021.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to ask more doubts and queries if you have.

@Aryan sagar this year the no of people wrote the jee mains and advance when compared to last year is less due to the covid pandemic so many people can't attempt April session even me too not attempted my April session and we can think the cut off will changes when compared to previous and I want to know based on my rank in which clg I can get the seat and my home town is andhra Pradesh so as a girl I can't go to the north side can u say me the based on my rank can I get seat at nit tadepalligudem and thanks to you you r clarifying my every doubt's thank you so much
divyakamireddy272
Dear divya,
As this year 2020, the jee mains are given by less number of candidates, then yes, there is a chance that cutoff closing rank will be increased, but there is no surety.
Because the increment or decrement of cutoffs varies by the following factors :-
1. Number of candidates appeared in examination.
2. difficult level of examination.
3. previous years cutoffs.
4. number of seats available in participating institutes.
If the number of candidates decrease then yes, there is a chance that cutoff closing ranks will increase upto some extent for all nits.
Now as your home state is Andhra Pradesh and you belong from ews category then sorry, you can not get Nit Tadepalligudem, because in this nit, there is no reservation for ews candidates
Basically, you can't get any nit in South India with 28511 ews rank in josaa all rounds counseling
But still as you mentioned that you can not go to North India, so as per your convenience, I prepared a list of nits in the States that touches Andhra pradesh and is in South India.
1. NIT WARANGAL (Telangana)
You can get nit warangal in csab round 1 counseling. As you are from Andhra pradesh, then there is a chance that you can get CIVIL ENGINEERING and BIOTECHNOLOGY branch in csab round 1 counseling.
2. NIT TRICHY (Tamil nadu)
In csab round 1 counseling, there is a chance that you can get CIVIL ENGINEERING, METALLURGICAL AND MATERIALS ENGINEERING, but there is a very little chance that you can get Instrumentation and Control Engineering, because the last year cutoff closing rank for instrumentation and control engineering in round 1 csab counseling was - 27868.
3. NIT SURATHKAL (Karnataka)
In csab round 1 counseling, there is a little chance that you can get chemical engineering and there is a very very little chance of getting civil engineering because last year the cutoff closing rank for civil engineering was - 24234 in csab round 1 counseling.
and for chemical engineering it was - 28152.
Apart from these three nits, if you opt for nit calicut ( Kerala ), then with this much ews rank you can get only civil engineering in csab round 1 counselling.
ALL THE ABOVE CONCLUSIONS AND RESULTS OF NITs ARE ON BASIS OF PREVIOUS YEARS CUTOFF CLOSING RANKS OF CSAB COUNSELING.
So, if this year cutoff closing ranks go up then there will be very sure chances of getting these nits in csab round 1 counseling.
I hope this much information helps you.

No problem divya. There is no need for you to say sorry.
Actually you did your fullest during last times and you also said that you cannot break the mountain in one day. But I will say No one can break the mountain in one day.
But still It's good to hear that you got qualified though your rank is not good because your preparation was not good. But still I am happy that you got qualified in jee advanced during last days. Now you can say that "I am jee advanced qualifier" and it will feel great to say this. And just think, if you did this much well without preparation for jee advanced, then what were the results if you had prepared for jee advanced.
Also if you have any doubts regarding any subject or career feel free to ask.
And I am also sorry for late reply.
