My mother name is written as (kavita) on my ssc and hsc certificates but on my degree marksheets and certificate it's written as (kavita ramesh bansode) will it create any problem while applying for foreign Universities?Do I need to correct it if yes then how ? my university refused to shorten name
Hello,
This situation is quite common and usually does not create a major problem while applying to foreign universities, as long as the documents clearly indicate that the person is the same. In your case, your SSC and HSC certificates show your mother’s name as “Kavita”, while your degree documents mention “Kavita Ramesh Bansode.” Since the shorter name is part of the full name, most universities accept it.
However, some universities or visa authorities may ask for supporting proof to confirm that both names refer to the same person.
