my son studied from LKG to 10th Class in Hyderabad. then he studied 2 years intermediate in Andhra. Is he considered local in Telangana.
Hello,
Yes, your son will be considered a local candidate of Telangana .
Since he studied from LKG to 10th class in Hyderabad (Telangana) , he has completed at least 4 consecutive years of study in Telangana before appearing for the qualifying examination (10th class).
As per the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh local status rules, a student is considered local to a region if they have studied for at least 4 consecutive academic years in that region prior to the qualifying exam.
So, even though he studied Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh, his earlier schooling (LKG–10th) in Hyderabad makes him a Telangana local candidate .
Hope it helps !
Hello,
Your son studied LKG to 10th in Hyderabad, so he is likely considered a Telangana local even though he did Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh. He should keep school certificates and parent residence proof to claim local status for admissions and local category benefits.
Hope you understand.
Hello,
Sorry, but it's unlikely that your son will be considered a local in Telangana for reservation purposes. as he studied for only a limited time there and then moved to Andhra Pradesh. While he studied from LKG to 10th grade in Hyderabad, the rule for local status typically requires a minimum of four years of study in the specific region prior to the qualifying exam (like intermediate or a competitive exam), which he did not complete in Telangana.
I hope it will clear your query!!
