To join in Officers Training Academy you must appear for Combined Defence Service Entrance Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The eligibility criteria to appear for CDS to join in OTA is that you must have passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised board. The age limit is 19 to 25 years.
So if you join in OTA you must complete your Bachelors Degree after 10+2 from a recognised board. You cannot apply for CDS after passing in 10+2.
hello there, if we talk about the minimum eligibility criteria for who can give ota exam, you require atleast bachelors degree. also Candidates should be less than 25 years of age & must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during your training period. Married candidates who are above 25 years of age can also apply but during their training period, they will not be provided with the accommodation of their partner.

No to be eligible for OTA the candidate has to have a bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute. So after 10+2 level that is your 12th you will not be eligible for OTA. Firs t you have complete your graduation after 12th then you will be eligible for OTA. The Union Public Service Commission provides the CDS eligibility criteria in the official notification. According to the CDS eligibility criteria 2021, candidates willing to appear for CDS should be graduates and between the age group of 19 to 25 years.
