What are the admission criteria for B. Tech? Are they different for different industries?

Direct admission to B. Tech is based primarily on a merit list issued by various universities in different states. The basic criterion is that a person must get at least 60% in their respective forums. He / she must be an Indian citizen and must have math, chemistry, and physics as core subjects.
