If you are doing a course in Computer Application, you don't need to worry about it's future existence.
It will have tremendous growth in near future in terms of research, applied and inter- disciplinary courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc,...
It may acquire a new name due to the developing trends and new technologies.
But it is the fact that one has to improve his/her skills based on the current and upcoming technologies inorder to sustain in it's growth which may happen at a rapid pace.

See Computer application field in one of the fastest growing field in not only india but Internationally. As long as there is internet, there will be computer, mobile, Table.... And as long as there is computer, mobile, Table, there always be a need of computer application developer and programmer....
Our todays generation is much advance and it will more with coming years. So, it has huge scope in future... All the best
As far as I know, we would always be needing a computer application(which would probably never go), and for a computer application, there will always be a need for programmer. So no matter how long it gets, there will always be a scope for computer applications and programmer!
