why hypoteneous is positive in trigonometry?????
It is taken as positive b ecause it is the length of the distance from one end of the hypotenuse to the other. Length from one point to the other point can never be negative.
As the hypotenuse is (x^2+y^2)^1/2 which will always have a positive value so hypotenuse is always positive.
Good Luck!!
