Birla Institute of Technology Mesra courses include UG, PG and Ph.D courses, such as B.Arch, B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, M.Sc, M.B.A and Ph.D programmes. BIT Mesra programmes are offered in full-time mode only. BIT Mesra admission to the B.Tech/B.Arch course is based on the marks obtained in JEE Main, followed by the counselling process. BIT Mesra admission to M.Tech and M.Plan Programmes is based on the marks obtained in GATE examination. BIT Mesra B.E/B.Tech Admission Process

• Aspirants must meet the eligibility criteria. 

• First, eligible candidates must take the JEE Main.

• Next, candidates have to get themselves registered on the official website of JoSAA.

• Only registered candidates are eligible to enrol for the JEE Main counselling. 

• Qualified candidates must appear for the JEE Main counselling process, during which they must select their preferred option.

• After that, candidates must select BIT Mesra as their college of choice.

• Candidates are chosen based on their JEE Main rank and the choices they make during the counselling process. 

• Once assigned a seat, candidates must complete the admission process by getting the documents verified and paying the course fee.

BIT Mesra B.Arch Admission Process

• Candidates have to fulfil the eligibility criteria. 

• Next, eligible candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main paper 2. They must then apply for and participate in the JoSAA counselling process after achieving qualifying marks.

• Choose Birla Institute of Technology Mesra as a preference during the counselling process.

• Based on their JEE-Main results, candidates will be assigned seats by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) /CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board).

• Next, eligible candidates must take and pass the NEET UG exam with valid scores.

• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria have to fill the BIT Mesra application form.

• Eligible candidates have to appear for the university's entrance exam.

• The university will publish a final list of candidates who have been shortlisted for Personal Interviews.

• For BIT Mesra admission, candidates are finalised.

BIT Mesra PG & Ph.D Admissions

BIT Mesra offers a total of 60 programmes at the postgraduate & doctoral levels. The duration of the postgraduate programmes of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra is 2 years, whereas for Ph.D courses the duration is 6 years.

BIT Mesra M.Tech Admission Procedure

• Candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria. 

• Next, eligible candidates have to appear for GATE exam and obtain valid scores.

• For GATE-qualified candidates, the GATE scores are given 80% weightage and the overall academic record is given 20% weightage.

• Non-GATE candidates are given a merit list with 80% weightage given to the entrance test and 20% weightage given to their overall academic record.

• Non-GATE candidates will also be considered only if seats remain open after GATE-qualified candidates have been admitted.

• All candidates who are eligible must participate in the counselling process.

• As part of the choice locking process, applicants must select BIT Mesra main campus as a preference during counselling.

BIT Mesra M.C.A Admission Process

• Students meeting the eligibility criteria have to fill the BIT Mesra application form.

• Candidates are shortlisted for personal interviews based on their scores.

• The university will publish a list of interview candidates.

• The final list will be announced following the interviews.

• Once selected, candidates must pay the course fee and have their documents verified.

BIT Mesra M.Sc Admission Process

• Aspiring students have to fill the application form for BIT Mesra.

• The institute will release a list of candidates who have been shortlisted based on their grades in grades in the last qualifying examination.

• The institute conducts an entrance test, interview, and counselling process for admission to M.Sc courses.

• Attend a university-sponsored entrance exam and personal interview.

• Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the counselling process. 

• Following that, shortlisted candidates have to give preference to the BIT Mesra.

• Candidates are selected and assigned seats based on the participation in the counselling process, rank, and preferences.

• Once selected, candidates must get their documents verified and pay the BIT Mesra fees.

BIT Mesra Ph.D Admission Process

• PhD candidates must fill out and submit an application form online on the BIT Mesra website, along with the application fees, after their eligibility has been verified.

• Final seat allocation will be made for aspirants who achieve the minimum required marks in the online entrance exam, previous academic career, and interview. Only candidates who indicate their total percentage of marks and achieve the minimum required marks in the entrance exam will be considered for selection.

• Shortlisted candidates will be admitted to Ph.D. programmes.

• Finally, documents must be verified, and after fees are paid, the candidate will be admitted to the programme.
