    Admission Process For Indian National Students

    Admission to Under Graduate Engineering Programs

    MVJ College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

    Admission to MVJCE undergraduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process or through the Management admission process.

    Karnataka Common Entrance Test

    The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted in the month of April every year. Students wishing to obtain admission to colleges affiliated to VTU have to write the KCET test. Based on the ranking obtained by the student in the KCET, admission may be obtained during the CET counseling Process.

    Management Admission Process

    Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management admission process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.

    The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.

    Students should have appeared in the any one of the below Examinations for Management admission process:

    • Karnataka Common Entrance Test
    • Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Examination
    • All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE)
    • Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka(COMEDK)

    Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

    Eligibility Criteria for students graduating from International/NRI boards

    • Students must have passed in II PUC /12th Standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Biology as optional subject, with English as one of the language of study.
    • Students studying under General Certificate of Education or GCE should have completed their A level and O level examinations with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/ Biology as optional subjects, with English as one of the language of study. Students are required get a minimum of 3C’s and 1S.
    • No Entrance examination is required for International students. However a separate interview will be conducted by the college to grant the admission as per the VTU norms.
