Admission Details

The common admission to 1st year Diploma for Government / Aided Polytechnics and for private polytechnics(surrendered seats only) will be conducted by the Department Of Technical Education (DTE). The admission process starts with the issue of the notification for admission by the Directorate in leading newspapers of the State. The advertisement generally appears in and around the dates of the announcement of Secondary School Leaving Certificate results conducted by the State Govt. It may be sometime in the last week of April or the First week of May or around that period. The announcement is also made on the website The polytechnic websites will also carry the details of admission notification on their respective sites.

Eligibility Criteria

A student must pass in S.S.L.C/10th conducted by the Government of Karnataka.
A student must pass in I.T.I for lateral entry (Direct 2nd-year diploma).
The minimum age is 16 years to join Diploma in Automobile Engineering.

The candidate must have passed Matric or equivalent examination from Board of School Education, Haryana or any other organised Board/University. Candidate would be required to fulfill other conditions as per Admission Brochure to Diploma course for session 2014-2015 by the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana
