Admission is based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) by the Maharashtra State, and Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State CET Cell.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate should be a graduate in any faculty of any University in
Maharashtra established by an act of Parliament or by a State Legislature or an
equivalent National Institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or
Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian
University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, with Minimum 45% of Marks in aggregate (That is 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree
examination taken together) in qualifying examination in case of the
candidates belonging to OPEN Category, ALL INDIA CANDIDATURE
(OMS), EWS & SEBC candidates from the state of Maharashtra, (Candidate
belonging to SC/ST Category need only 40% marks and VJNT, SBC and OBC
Category with minimum 42% marks in the qualifying examination).
An applicant who has passed the U.G. Degree of minimum Three Years and
P.G. Degree of 2/3 Yrs. from University mentioned in (a) after processing the
studies in the pattern of 10+2+3+2/3 with regular studies at secondary and
higher secondary schooling is eligible. Post Graduate diploma will not be
considered as Post Graduate Degree.
Provided that, the applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate
or First Degree Certificate by distance or correspondence method shall also be
considered as eligible for CET of the 3 Years Law Courses (the applicant who has
passed the qualifying examination (10+2, U.G. & or P.G.) in a single sitting
examination without having basic qualifications of (10+2+3) is not eligible.)+2 is the
Basic Qualification for LL.B-3 Yr. Course.
The candidate should be an Indian Citizen. The candidate belonging to the type [NRI, PIO, OCI, and Foreign National Students] with the following Academic Eligibility is not required to appear for the CET Examination. They must apply only for CAP rounds.
A candidate to be eligible for admission to the first year of the Five-Year integrated law course should have passed the H.S.C. Examination [Arts, Science, or Commerce] of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent examination.
(a) An applicant who have completed Senior Secondary School course (+2) or equivalent (such as 11+1, A level in Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized university of India or outside or from Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the government of that country for issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the course Examination, with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. (Candidate belonging to SC and ST Category with minimum 40% marks).
(b) The applicants who have obtained +2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate or First Degree Certificate after completing studies in the distance or correspondence method are eligible for the course:
Provided that, the applicants who have obtained 10+2 through the Open University system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible.
Further provided that, applicants who have obtained the 10th std. /Secondary Schooling Certificate Examination, in a single sitting examination, without having a basic qualification (1 to 9th standard of schooling) is not eligible.
Further provided that, the candidates who are appearing/appeared for the qualifying examination (regular examination of that academic year) are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates will be eligible for admission only if they produce the provisional/Degree certificate of the qualifying examination and the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
(c) And obtained the score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
