Admission Details
IIM Indore will adopt a three-stage selection process (I) Eligibility criteria (II) Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) (III) Final Selection. Selection criteria for each of the stages are given as under:
Stage-I: Eligibility Criteria
All applicants who apply for the two-year PGP of IIM Indore must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned in CAT advertisement and also the minimum sectional percentile and overall percentile scores in CAT. Only those applicants meeting the specified criteria will be considered for Stage-2 of the selection process.
Stage-II: Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in Stage-I will be considered for this stage of shortlisting for WAT and PI. A sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, and PwD) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on Composite Score (CS).
An International Applicant, seeking admission to two year PGP of IIM Indore can take GMAT in the country of his/ her residence and apply for admission in the prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from our website.
The basic objective of IIM-R’s admission process is to identify meritorious candidates for
admission under each category of admission, viz., General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, EWS and
PWD/DAP. While merit is the prime consideration, the Institute recognizes a possibility of
skewed student structure in favor of male gender and engineering and related subjects at
graduation in the normal course. Hence, it strives to ensure a better balance in opportunities
among different subject streams and genders. It is also part of IIM Rohtak’s approach to duly
recognize academic consistency.
The admission process of IIM-R is a five-stage process:
Stage I: Online Registration for PGP Admission 2025-27 (Batch-XV), IIM Rohtak
Stage II: Written Analysis Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI)
Stage III: The Final Selection List based on CAT score, WAT & PI score & Diversity.
Stage IV: Offer for Provisional Admission for the PGP programme 2025-27 (Batch-XV).
Stage V: Reporting for joining the PGP programme 2025-27 (Batch-XV)
Eligibility Criteria
International Applicants-
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The equivalence of the foreign degree needs to be certified by the Association of Indian Universities. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be based on the practice followed by the institution/university from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case of the candidate being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where they have obtained the bachelor's degree.
In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result by 100.
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution.
