Admission Details
IIM Kozhikode adopts a three-stage selection process. The details of the three stages are provided below.
Stage 1
All candidates who have opted for IIM Kozhikode in their CAT applications and are fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria would receive an email for online registration for admissions to IIM Kozhikode. Only those candidates who have successfully completed the online registration process for IIM Kozhikode are considered for Stage 2.
Stage 2
In Stage 2, a shortlist of candidates in each reservation category would be prepared based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed based on the performance in CAT, academic performance in Class X & XII, work experience and gender diversity.
Stage 3
In Stage 3, the short-listed candidates would be asked to appear for Personal Interview (PI). After the conclusion of the PI process, a category-wise merit list would be prepared based on the candidates' performance in CAT, PI and resume.
Admission offers would be made to the candidates following the merit list as per the Government of India reservation norms.
Reservation
IIM Kozhikode follows the Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs).
The basic objective of IIM-R’s admission process is to identify meritorious candidates for
admission under each category of admission, viz., General, NC-OBC, SC, ST, EWS and
PWD/DAP. While merit is the prime consideration, the Institute recognizes a possibility of
skewed student structure in favor of male gender and engineering and related subjects at
graduation in the normal course. Hence, it strives to ensure a better balance in opportunities
among different subject streams and genders. It is also part of IIM Rohtak’s approach to duly
recognize academic consistency.
The admission process of IIM-R is a five-stage process:
Stage I: Online Registration for PGP Admission 2025-27 (Batch-XV), IIM Rohtak
Stage II: Written Analysis Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI)
Stage III: The Final Selection List based on CAT score, WAT & PI score & Diversity.
Stage IV: Offer for Provisional Admission for the PGP programme 2025-27 (Batch-XV).
Stage V: Reporting for joining the PGP programme 2025-27 (Batch-XV)
Eligibility Criteria
Note: General (GEN), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Non-creamy Other Backward Caste (NC-OBC), Persons with Disability (PwD).
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution.
