1. The admissions to B.Tech programs shall be governed by the rules of the Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and/or any other competent authority authorized by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh for this purpose.

2. Admissions to the first year of all the UG programmes shall be made before the start of each Academic Year, through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the Government, or on the basis of any other relevant Entrance Examination or eligibility criteria as decided and published by the Government from time to time.  

 Entrance Exam is the medium of admission for the eligible students.

10+2 years of school education. Generally the first year (first two semesters) is common to all branches, and has the same subjects of study. Courses divert after first year. The medium of instruction and examination is English and IES is affiliated to RGPV university. IES offers engineering in various branches like: computer science, civil, fire technology, electronics and telecommunication, electrical engineering, chemical engineering.

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, conducts admissions to the Automation & Robotics department in the PIEMR. The candidates will be offered admissions based on 10+2 marks and JEE Mains. Based on the merit list, candidates will be allotted seats through MP Counselling.
