Admissions will be based on the performance in an entrance test and followed by an interview.  A computer-based entrance test will be conducted in many cities across India on April last.  The tentative date of the interview to be held at IIIT Hyderabad will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates soon after the entrance test. The candidate has to clear the interview to get the admission into PG programmes.

Admission to the MTech program is based on the GATE score either in the CS or EC papers.

B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. (any branch including CSE/ECE/EEE/Civil/ Biotechnology), B.Arch., Masters Degree in Science/Mathematics/Information Technology/Computers/MCA Programmes.

A 4-year B.Tech./B.E. degree in any engineering discipline or an MSc/MS/MCA degree in CS/IT/Maths, and have an excellent academic record. Candidates having professional qualifications recognized by AICTE, like AMIE, are also eligible to apply.

• The candidate should have a valid GATE score in CS, EC or IT
• Students having GATE score in CS/IT will be awarded MTech degree from the Dept. of CS, and those with GATE score in EC will be awarded MTech degree from the Dept. of EE.
