The admission for all PG courses of Engineering is done based on merit. The candidates will be admitted to each course based on first come first served basis by online process. However, the admission will be confirmed to a candidate after receiving his / her original certificates as per the eligibility norms of the University.

The Government of Tamilnadu has authorised Anna University for conducting the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission to M.E./ M.Tech.Degree Programmes offered in colleges in Tamilnadu.

• Qualifying Degree or Equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% of marks.
• Candidate must have passed B.E./ B.Tech /AMIE in Food  Processing  and Engineering / Agricultural  Engineering  /Chemical  Engineering /Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics / B.Pharm. /M.Sc. in  Food Science  and  Nutrition  /  Biotechnology  /  Chemistry  / Biochemistry/ Microbiology or Equivalent.

a. A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination. (i) B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch.

(or)

 (ii) B.Pharm.

 (or)

 (iii) Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, which are prescribed.

b. (i) 10+2+AMIE

(ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.
