• 70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (TSEAMCET) conducted by the Government of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
• 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
• In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (TSECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by the Government of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh.

The candidates will be admitted by EAMCET Convener strictly by the rank secured at the Entrance Examination and keeping the rules applicable in view regarding the reservation of seats of various categories of candidates.

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

A student must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Telangana, with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Government of Telangana as its equivalent.

All the eligible candidates for admission into the First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Government of TS.
