• Candidates are selected based on their performance in the HSC (+2) examination conducted by the state and through counseling (TNEA) conducted by the DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION (DoTE), Government of Tamil Nadu , selected candidates are allotted to various colleges for admission. 
• Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College under Management Quota. Admission forms may be obtained from the College office.

As per the norms of Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), 65% of the seats are admitted under Single Window Counselling and the remaining 35% of seats are admitted under the Management quota based on merit.

The candidate should have passed the HSC (Academic / Vocational with Mathematics and Basic Mechanical Engineering / Basic Electrical Engineering / Basic Electronics Engineering / Basic Civil Engineering / Basic Automobile Engineering / Textile Technology) of Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination recognized by Anna University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For Lateral Entry (direct admission to second year), the Candidate should have passed the Diploma Examination in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or an equivalent examination.

Minimum Marks [Academic Stream: Percentage of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Vocational Stream: Percentage of marks in Mathematics, Theory & Practical]

• Passed 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects, namely Chemistry/Biology/Technical vocational subject for admission to the first year of the four-year undergraduate degree programs.
• Similarly, those who passed Diploma Examinations from the AICTE-approved institutions are eligible for admission to the direct second year of undergraduate programs under the lateral entry scheme. Also, those who have B.Sc., Degrees from UGC-recognized institutions are eligible for lateral entry admission in the second year.
